freedom:

Academic liberties are a new notion in human rights. This idea is not limited to rights (freedom of thought, belief, expression, assembly, and education), but also encompasses rights closer to academic institutions, such as the right to academic institutions' independence and the duty of academics to research and educate.

One of man's liberties is caring about human capital or the mind. A university or academic institution with academic independence creates competent members of society. Without a suitable degree of academic independence, scholars cannot convey their scientific study at the needed level, thus preventing societal progress and improved output.

Without intellectual independence, the university can't grow. It contributes to the healthy growth of mind and the release of creativity, especially as the pursuit of rapid scientific breakthroughs, coupled with the technology and information revolution, is one of a modern university's most significant tasks. It must operate with academic freedom, which helps academics maximise their ideas and abilities and universities maximise their material and human potential. This will increase the university's efficiency and help it achieve its goals.
