The College of Pharmacy at the University of Babylon is the first in the province of Babylon; it was founded in 2008, and it is thus one of the most essential sources that provide the country with efficient pharmaceutical cadres that contribute to strengthening health and pharmaceutical services at the clinical level as well as the pharmaceutical industry.

A lecturer at the College of Pharmacy participates in the discussion committee Professor Dr. Asim Alaa Abdul Hussein participated in the discussion committee of the postgraduate student (Master) (Maryam Majid Abdul Adhab) at the University of Baghdad / College of Science / Department of Chemistry. The committee consisted of the following: 1- Prof. Dr. Ahlam Marouf Hussein / University of Baghdad / College of Science (Chairman) 2- Prof. Dr. Asim Alaa Abdul Hussein / University of Babylon / College of Pharmacy (Member) 3- Asst. Prof. Dr. Zainab Amer Salal / University of Baghdad / College of Science (Member) 4- Prof. Dr. Naima Jabbar Awid / University of Baghdad / College of Science (Member and Supervisor) The thesis dealt with the preparation of new heterocyclic compounds and the study of their biological activity. The discussion was held on 2/2/2025 and the student was awarded a Master s degree in Chemistry with an excellent grade.
