University of Babylon - Medicine College Media

The College of Pharmacy, University of Babylon, holds an educational seminar on literacy and rural community development.
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Amin Ajeel Yasser, President of the University of Babylon, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hussam Wahab Saheb, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, the Women s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Babylon, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held an educational seminar entitled "Literacy and Rural Community Development." The seminar was moderated by Dr. Samah Ahmed Kazim, a liaison member of the Women s Affairs Unit at the college, and presented by M. M. Manba Fadel. The seminar was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, as part of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security, under the pillar of prevention and protection, paragraph one: Literacy programs implemented in rural and remote areas. The seminar aimed to focus on the most important cultural and social obstacles and challenges facing women in obtaining their right to education in rural areas, while highlighting the required educational policies that meet the needs of these communities and their importance in achieving sustainable development.
The seminar recommended the need to launch literacy campaigns in villages in cooperation with government institutions. and community organizations
