University of Babylon - Medicine College Media

The College of Pharmacy, University of Babylon, holds an educational lecture on the implications and impacts of climate change on the health of Iraqi women.
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Amin Ajil Yasser, President of the University of Babylon, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hussam Wahab Sahib, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, the Women s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Babylon, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the college, held an educational lecture entitled "The Implications and Impacts of Climate Change on the Health of Iraqi Women." The lecture was moderated by Dr. Samah Ahmed Kazim, a liaison member of the Women s Affairs Unit at the college, and presented by M.M. Lina Abbas and M.M. Dhafer Muhammad. The lecture was held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, as part of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace and Security, Pillar of Prevention and Protection, Paragraph 8: Climate Change, and raising awareness of the health and economic risks associated with it. The seminar aimed to highlight the impact of climate change on women s physical and psychological health, which may decline as a result of climate change, leading to a decline in activity and productive capacity due to biological and hormonal changes in women.
The seminar recommended the need to provide a suitable environment for women, along with psychological and social support. She also practices various sports activities to relieve stress and understand the feminine nature.
