The College of Pharmacy at the University of Babylon is the first in the province of Babylon; it was founded in 2008, and it is thus one of the most essential sources that provide the country with efficient pharmaceutical cadres that contribute to strengthening health and pharmaceutical services at the clinical level as well as the pharmaceutical industry.

The College of Pharmacy, University of Babylon, holds a workshop on legal protection for women against violence. Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Amin Ajeel Yasser, President of the University of Babylon, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hussam Wahab Saheb, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, the Women s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Babylon, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the college, held a workshop entitled "Legal Protection for Women Against Violence." The workshop was moderated by Dr. Samah Ahmed Kazim, a liaison member of the Women s Affairs Unit at the college, and presented by M.M. Zainab Majid. The workshop was held on Monday, March 10, 2025, as part of the Third National Plan for Women, Security, and Peace, Participation and Institutional Reform Pillar, Paragraph Four: The Importance of Legal and Administrative Amendments Aimed at Guaranteeing Women s Rights in the Workplace. The workshop aimed to introduce the laws that guarantee women s rights to confront violence in all its forms through legal texts, international agreements, and treaties regarding the protection of women, in a manner consistent with their circumstances, in the face of exploitation and domestic violence. The workshop recommended the necessity of eliminating the phenomenon of violence against women, preserving their rights, and safeguarding their dignity through education. Spreading community awareness to combat violence against women so that they can play their fundamental role in building the family.
