The College of Pharmacy at the University of Babylon is the first in the province of Babylon; it was founded in 2008, and it is thus one of the most essential sources that provide the country with efficient pharmaceutical cadres that contribute to strengthening health and pharmaceutical services at the clinical level as well as the pharmaceutical industry.

Professor Dr. Hossam Wahab Sahib, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Babylon, accompanied by Professor Dr. Qaisar Jawda Fadhel, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department at the College of Pharmacy, participated in the comprehensive exam committees for PhD students at the College of Pharmacy, University of Kufa. This participation came within the framework of enhancing scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and exchanging expertise in higher education and scientific research, particularly in advanced pharmaceutical specialties.
